The goal of the film was to present the craft of hand-painted type to people who may or may not have a direct interest in the domain of typography, graphic design or painting. Keeping this in mind, the film was planned so that the audience can see the people who make these works and their creative process, learn about some technical details, get a look at how this craft exists in the city of Ahmedabad, and its current state in the age of advanced digital technologies. My approach was to use the visuals to primarily show the act of making a painting, which itself is a visual medium, and the audio to give the other information, like who the painter is, his journey to becoming a painter, technical details about the craft, his opinions on the state of the craft, etc.
